Safety gates

The primary function of a safety gate is to prevent people from entering unsafe areas. A security gate forces pedestrians to stop and open the gate before entering or leaving a safe area. It makes them think twice.

We offer safety gates with sliding doors, safety gates that open upward, and safety gates with self-closing side swing gates, as well as (reinforced) loading bay fall protection systems and belt barriers. For working at height or in other hazardous situations, we have developed an industrial safety gate and fall protection system: the DOUBLE AXES GATE.

The world’s most sustainable safety gates

Industrial security gates for fall protection or blocking access to machinery

Falling from height is a significant hazard in industrial environments. The DOUBLE AXES GATE safety gate prevents you from stepping into or falling through an opening by securely closing this opening. This security gate is the best option for securing caged ladders and blocking access to machines and work platforms at height. The SINGLE AXES GATE is designed to block access to hazardous areas and machines on the ground floor. The AXES GATE was Boplan’s very first product and has since been perfected down to the smallest detail. This third generation is the result of the invaluable feedback, technical expertise, and customer satisfaction that Boplan has built up over the past 20 years.

Impact-resistant up to 16 kJ

Next-level safety gates

Loading docks and elevated platforms pose a serious falling risk within industrial environments. Boplan’s DOCK GATES provide a robust, impact-resistant solution that acts as fall protection or as impact-resistant barrier arms to block access to specific areas.

The FLEX IMPACT® DG250R is a hand-operated safety gate with an impact resistance of 10.2 kJ on both bars and posts. The FLEX IMPACT® DG250R AE offers the same superior protection on the bars and is powered for added efficiency and convenience.

For ultimate impact resistance, the DG250F delivers 16 kJ of impact protection – the strongest polymer dock gate in the world. Tested to UNI/TS 11886 standard, this is the first and only gate that is certified for impact resistance on both bars and posts, making it the first choice for maximum dock safety.

Safety and ease of use are two very serious topics. This is why we make our safety gates to be compatible with our other safety solutions. Moreover, both the sliding gates and the swing gates have self-closing systems. This ensures that people can move smoothly and safely between different areas at your workplace. Self-closing security gates are also perfect for corridors and machine rooms that require authorized access. If you need to quickly close off an area, a bollard with a belt barrier also gives you additional flexibility.

FAQs

What is a safety gate or security gate?

Safety gates are safety solutions that keep employees and visitors safe by restricting or controlling access. These security gates are used to block off machinery and prevent people from accidentally entering dangerous or restricted areas. They are almost always combined with other safety solutions like safety barriers and handrails. Wherever work is done, security gates make people more aware of hazards and keep them safe.

What types of safety gates does Boplan offer?
