VCA certificate since 2011

Boplan guarantees safety, health and environment

Boplan has been VCA certified since 2011. VCA stands for Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors and indicates that Boplan meets the requirements in the field of safety, health and environment. The SCC certificate (Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors) is aimed at the direct control of safety, health and the environment while performing work on the shop floor, without the use of subcontractors.

Because Boplan is in possession of a VCA certificate, it can demonstrate that it complies with current safety, health and environmental requirements on a large number of points. Possession of the VCA certificate thus prevents both the client and the contractor from having to take all kinds of actions to guarantee safety, health and the environment, as this has all been arranged in advance.

Golden Lasso 2008

Young entrepreneur of the year

Xavier Ramon (36), founder and business manager of Boplan in Wevelgem, has been awarded the Golden Lasso, an award for young entrepreneurs in the province.

Since 1988, the association 'Young Cowboys from the Texas of Flanders' has awarded its Golden Lasso to a young entrepreneur from the south of the province. Each time, the association looks for someone who, thanks to hard work, a dose of creativity and a certain daring, has created a beautiful concept from nothing.

One who definitely possesses that cowboy flair is Xavier Ramon, who created his own company in 1999 "with what was in his savings account". Boplan became the name of the company that has grown into a leading producer of high-quality safety products for industrial applications such as guardrails and anti-slip floors.

Design

DesignX50 Awards

Since 2006 Designregio Kortrijk (Belgium) has been awarding the designers of the fifty most innovative and innovative products from the region every two years with a 'Design Region Kortrijk Award'. Boplan was at the party twice.

The winning products are the 'Rackbull®' rack protector and the 'KP' column protectors. Both products are part of the FLEX IMPACT® series, a modular set of materials and tools for collision protection.

"If you think about design, you probably do not think about industrial safety products," says Boplan's product manager. "And yet Boplan has won prizes this year with those kind of products. Of course we are very proud of that, especially since we are the only manufacturer of industrial products among the winners."

Boplan Sport

Social Responsibility award for Boplan Sport

In 2021 Boplan was awarded the 'Social Responsibility' prize at the @bikemotion.cc Awards, thanks to the our Boplan Race Barrier. A fantastic recognition for our company and another step in making the world of cycling safer.

The Race Barrier is specially designed for securing the finish zone of cycling races. Thanks to the yellow plastic (polymer) safety barriers 1 m 40 high, riders are optimally protected during one of the most critical phases of the race. Risks of serious injuries are minimized.

Comment from jury president De Munnik: "We were unanimous on this. A nice, solid, healthy and safe fencing of a cycling race, that's what cycling was waiting for. Just look at what happened to Dylan Groenewegen and Fabio Jakobsen. This makes cycling a lot safer."
