In an environment where intensive traffic from forklift trucks, access platforms and other industrial vehicles is a daily occurrence, it is essential to protect critical infrastructure. At TVH Equipment, a prominent player in the sale and hire of industrial machinery, safety was a key consideration during the construction of The Nest in Waregem, Belgium. The new building comprises a large workshop and warehouse where industrial machinery is used daily, with significant forklift truck traffic. This created a considerable risk of collisions with critical infrastructure, such as columns and gates. Damage to this critical infrastructure could lead to both operational disruptions and high repair costs.

Bollards
Boplan's durable, impact-resistant polymer bollards have been strategically installed in areas such as the entrances and exits of the underground car park, access zones, and around the exterior of the circular building. These bollards are specifically designed to protect critical zones while enhancing visibility. Thanks to their high impact resistance and flexibility, they absorb the force of a collision before returning to their original shape. The outdoor bollards around the building are finished in an elegant black tone, perfectly complementing the sleek, modern design of The Nest.
KP Column protectors
Lighting poles and load-bearing columns are vulnerable points in high-traffic working environments. This is particularly the case when vehicles such as forklifts, access platforms and excavators are in use. A collision with columns or lighting poles can cause a range of issues, from scratches and dents to complete malfunctions. To prevent this, we installed KP column protectors at various locations on the site. KP Protectors are impact-resistant and feature a sleek design that improves visibility. To protect vulnerable corners and walls from collisions, we installed corner protection in the underground car park of The Nest.
