Robust safety barriers reduce the risk of forklift incidents and damage at Instantprint
At Instantprint's (Blue Tree Group) print production site in Rotherham, logistics intensity is high. Forklifts and employees constantly share the same workspace. The company needed an integrated approach to protect both its employees and sensitive infrastructure. Together with Boplan, Instantprint looked for a complete safety solution: flexible, durable and tailored to the complexity of their logistics environment.
From demarcation to impact protection: one coherent safety concept
High logistics intensity calls for well-designed safety barriers
Following a thorough analysis of traffic flows, bottlenecks and sensitive areas, Boplan proposed a complete solution using products from the FLEX IMPACT® range. These polymer solutions absorb impact energy to limit damage.
The TB 400 PLUS was installed at strategic points with high forklift traffic. This low yet robust barrier with handrail provides clear visual guidance and absorbs impacts in the event of a collision. The HP PLUS handrails guide pedestrians safely through the warehouse and prevent them from unintentionally entering vehicle zones. The bright yellow colour enhances visibility and contributes to a well-structured working environment.
Boplan installed SWING GATES at pedestrian crossings. These swing gates ensure that pedestrians only cross in a controlled manner, clearly separating walkways from vehicle traffic. The SWING GATES also integrate seamlessly with the broader FLEX IMPACT® range, delivering a visually streamlined and functionally cohesive system.
BO200R bollards provide targeted protection at critical points such as passageways, corners and near doors or equipment. They absorb vehicle impacts and thus prevent damage to infrastructure or equipment.
The removable base plate ensures maximum flexibility. In areas where logistics flows change frequently due to such factors as seasonal storage, temporary rerouting or maintenance work on machinery, a removable base plate provides the ideal solution. These safety solutions can be easily removed and reinstalled without structural work. This keeps the site flexible.
The TB 400 Double Grill protects electrical cabinets from falling goods or forklift collisions. This protection prevents damage and minimises the risk of operational downtime or fire hazard.
