Weatherproof safety products ensure safe roads at Aliaxis
The company Aliaxis needed appropriate safety solutions suitable for outdoor use to protect pedestrians on its premises. Boplan installed weatherproof safety barriers and handrails.
The challenge
The roads on Aliaxis’ premises are busy. In order to avoid accidents, it is important to keep pedestrian traffic separate from vehicle lanes. Efficient safety solutions must guide pedestrians and ensure that they can only leave the pavement at certain points. They also need to protect pedestrians by absorbing any impact. Other important requirements were: a strong visual presence and a long service life for outdoor use.
Our safety solutions
Handrails that leave nothing to chance
Metre-long HP Plus handrails guide pedestrians outdoors on the company premises. With its three horizontal bars and heavier posts, our HP Plus range is ideal for high-risk and high-traffic areas.
Strong protection up to 20,100 joules
To clearly separate traffic areas and avoid collisions with pedestrians, we installed a flexible guardrail. Due to the scale of a possible impact, we chose the TB 400 PLUS. It offers an impact value of up to 20,100 joules, while the double handrail prevents pedestrians from simply stepping over the barrier.
Equally high-performing and durable for outdoor use
Our safety products are suitable for outdoor use. They are not affected by certain weather conditions. They do not rust and are resistant to chemicals and UV radiation.
The decision to choose Boplan’s polymer impact protection was a quick one. This is because they are much more durable than steel variants, as these have to be replaced after an impact. Not to mention the damage to the vehicles. Boplan products, on the other hand, return to their original shape after impact.
